These terms govern your use of schoolexclusion.co.uk (“Vox”). By using Vox you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who operates Vox

Vox is operated by Edoardo Chidichimo and Raoul Lee, trading as Vox-LLM (“Vox”) as a general partnership (not a company). Contact: contact [at] vox-llm.com. Postal address: Magdalen College, High Street, Oxford, OX1 4AU.

2. What Vox is — and what it is not

Vox is an AI tool that provides general information and draft documents about the school suspension and permanent exclusion process in England, based on official Department for Education statutory guidance.

Vox is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. Using Vox does not create a solicitor–client or any other professional relationship. Vox does not conduct litigation or exercise rights of audience and does not carry out any reserved legal activity under the Legal Services Act 2007. For advice on your specific situation you should consult a qualified solicitor or a specialist service such as Coram Children’s Legal Centre, IPSEA, or Citizens Advice.

Vox’s output is generated by artificial intelligence. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and it will not reflect the full facts of your case. You should check it carefully and, before relying on it in an exclusion review or appeal, have it reviewed by a qualified professional. Vox does not guarantee any particular outcome.

3. Who may use Vox

You must be at least 18 years old. If you submit information about a child, you confirm you are that child’s parent or hold parental responsibility for them, or are otherwise lawfully entitled to provide the information.

4. Accounts

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Vox unlawfully or to harm others;
• submit anyone else’s personal data without a lawful basis to do so;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the service, or circumvent its paywall or security; or
• misuse the AI (for example, to generate unlawful content).

6. Prices and payment

The chat unlock is a one-off payment of £5 and Vox Analysis is a one-off payment of £15, in GBP, processed by Stripe. Prices include any applicable taxes. We may change prices, but changes do not affect a purchase you have already made.

7. Cancellation and refunds

These are digital products supplied immediately. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. However, by paying and proceeding to use the chat unlock or to generate a Vox Analysis document, you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once delivery has begun.

If something goes wrong on our side — for example a payment is taken but the service fails to deliver — contact contact [at] vox-llm.com and we will put it right, including a refund where appropriate. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Intellectual property

The Vox name, site, software and the original analytical content it generates belong to us. Extracts from Department for Education statutory guidance are Crown copyright and are used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the document Vox generates for your own exclusion matter.

9. Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-excludable rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, Vox is provided “as is”; we do not warrant that its output is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on it (including the outcome of any exclusion review or appeal). To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Privacy

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date shows when they last changed, and continued use means you accept the changes. We may suspend or withdraw the service, or your access if you breach these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live.
